Students may enroll in the program at any time during the year. The self-paced training packages allow students to complete individual technician courses on their own time. This flexibility provides students with the ability to set their own pace when proceeding through the programs. Typical completion time is two weeks per module, however students can finish much more quickly, depending on factors such as previous training, experience, education, and time allocation.

These highly innovative distance education program combines state-of-the-art lab simulation with award-winning curriculum, resulting in a great learning experience. The program content is delivered on CD-ROM and is supported through the on-line Virtual Campus which provides access to various on-line resources. Upgrade your technical skills.

The program was designed to meet the needs of students who cannot attend college on a full-time or part-time basis because of work or family commitments. No electronics background is required and there is a minimal high school graduation prerequisite, so almost anyone can get training in this rapidly-growing industry. Non-traditional learners are welcome in the program. More than 20 percent of students enrolled in courses are women, compared with only 2% in our traditional classroom-based electronics training programs.

The program is valuable for on-the-job training, with over 100 major companies having sponsored employees in these courses. These companies include:

  • General Motors
  • Motorola
  • Boeing Aircraft
  • Hewlett-Packard
  • Northern Telecom
